Take A Chance On Me - Erasure

Remember the big Abba revival if the early 1990's? So do I, unfortunately. Considered part of the driving force behind this revival, Erasure released the EP 'Abba-esque' in 1992 as a tribute to one of their favourite bands. And it was a good thing they did as well, as it marked their first UK number 1 hit. And though it was never officially released as a single, 'Take A Chance On Me' was played quite regularly on US radio, where it hit 51 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart. In an odd twist, the Abba tribute band Björn Again released their own album called 'Erasure-ish' the same year 'Abba-esque' was released as a 'response' to Erasure.
